Service design stands for a customer-oriented, results-driven design and development of services. Service design manages the complex ensemble of different service stakeholders, with the ultimate goal to create a coherent, meaningful service experience for the customer.
Involving the actual customers in the development process has an incredible impact on the success of the business. A service is simply a form of communication and interaction between the service provider and the customer. Therefore understanding the customer – understanding people – is an absolute necessity.
The iterative process in service design adjusts and conforms to smaller as well as larger needs, no matter the industry.
